We all know someone who has followed a few crazy diets because a celebrity did. Whether it is the recent craze of the keto diet or alkaline diet, hardly anyone wouldn’t have heard of these.
Let’s see eight most memorable and equally crazy celebrity diets over the year.
BEYONCE:
While we all love her music, Beyoncé is also popular for her amazing master cleanse diet. To prepare for her role in the Dream Girls, a 2006 film, Beyoncé went on an all-liquid diet that included only having cayenne lemon water. She would only allow herself one cheat day to indulge in pizza and wine. Well, who can blame her?
SARAH MICHELLE GELLAR:
Sarah Michelle Gellar went on an extreme 7-day diet plan, where most foods were restricted to her except for cabbage soup. Gellar started this bland, quick fix, low-calorie diet by following the original cabbage soup recipe. By the end of the week, she also added vegetables, fruit, yogurt, milk brown rice, and lean meat alternatively.
KATE MIDDLETON:
For the Royal Wedding, Kate Middleton took the cue and slimmed down with the Dukan diet. It starts with a kick start of high protein and vegetables, the diet is broken into three phases that go on to be less strict each week, depending on personal goals.
LADY GAGA:
Did you know Lady Gaga is rumored to have tried the Tracy Anderson’s famous baby food diet? This diet requires you to replace your first two meals in a day with nothing but Gerber’s baby food and follow it with again a health-conscious dinner. While we are stilling waiting for her to confess of being on this diet, Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, and Gwyneth Paltrow have also been linked to this crazy diet.
MADONNA:
When Madonna does something, she does it right. Madonna has been known to follow an extremely restricting and rigorous macrobiotic diet, where she could not have wheat, meats, eggs, and dairy. What is left, you ask? Well, the diet encourages consumption of sea vegetables. Being a Material Girl might be harder than we thought.
GWYNETH PALTROW:
As the story goes, Gwyneth Paltrow committed to all things ‘good’ after she was diagnosed with food allergies. Ultimately, she eliminated red meat, cow’s milk, bread, eggplants and tomatoes from her diet. She starts her day with a green juice and follows a mildly vegan, gluten-free diet during the day.
MEGAN FOX:
Megan Fox takes shots of apple cider vinegar to cleanse her system and flush out water weight.
She has also been known to follow a diet based on ‘The 5-Factor Diet’ book by Harley Pasternak
VICTORIA BECKHAM:
Victoria Beckham is all about the alkaline diet, her meals are planned to keep the pH level between 7.35 and 7.45. People on alkaline-friendly diet live by the 80/20 rule, where they consume more vegetables and lesser proteins and grains. Our Posh Spice Girl may just be the perfect pH.
