Marvel Cinematic Universe has welcomed another meta-human character namely Dark Phoenix in the latest film by the same title which has been in the news for having an ending similar to Captain Marvel whose Captain Marvel Black Leather Jacket took the cosplay community by storm. This may sound unrealistic and untrue, however, there is no reason to doubt it ever since it has been confirmed by James McAvoy who has acted alongside Sophie Turner as the lead role.
In a conversation with Yahoo Movies UK, McAvoy said, “The finale had to change. There was a lot of overlap and parallels with another superhero movie that came out… a while ago. And we had no idea that we were…” He further added, “They had spied on set,” interjects co-star Michael Fassbender, returning for the fourth time as Erik “Magneto” Lensherr, “and [they] basically stole our ideas.”
It is absolutely surprising to know that one-third of the final scenes were refilmed to avoid similarity with Captain Marvel indicating it may have cost the producer a bit more than expected. Ironically, the reshooting was started by the end of 2018 whereas Captain Marvel released only recently. Now this gives birth to a number of questions as to how and when the team realized the similarity between the endings of both the films.
