Jim Halpert was probably one of the most lovable characters on the set of ‘The Office’. There is no bigger truth than the fact that The Office not only gave Krasinski the breakthrough he has always wanted but also led him to explore projects on the bigger screen. We never knew that we would be able to catch the comedian in the infamous Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan Green Jacket in the series of the same name this year.

Ranked as one of the Most Influential People of the Year for 2018 in Times Magazine, John Krasinski is set to prove himself on the bigger screens in Hollywood, and nope, he isn’t slowing down. Mentioned below are 4 of the most challenging roles the actor has catered to earn the respect of his viewers and prominence in Hollywood.

His directorial debut of the adaptation, ‘Brief Interviews with Hideous Men’, earned him recognition despite bouncing and proving to be an OK movie. This motivation actually helped him to continue directing, producing, and writing projects that he believed in. In 2012, he along with author Dave Eggers worked on the idea of a movie that he would later star in as well.

Not only did he take his idea to Matt Damon, but also asked him to co-write the script with him. Krasinski’s transition to a major feature from ‘The Office’ was surely risky and dangerous, but he knew that this would prove to be good decision in the long run.

13 HOURS THE SECRET SOLDIERS OF BENGHAZI

2016 is probably one of the years where Krasinski managed to get out of his comfort zone the most.  He not only coined the idea for the movie, “13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi” that was directed by Michael Bay, but also starred in it. The fact that Krasinski has original ideas that struggle to be unleashed with utmost direction and precision is what makes the actor amazing at his work.

He has also directed and acted in indie films, which has garnered attention from prominent media houses to critics alike as well. His comedy-drama flick, ‘The Hollars’ was not too excellent, but whoever saw it at the Sundance Film Festival in 2016 raved about Krasinski’s insight and craft as an upcoming (and yet to be famous) director.

A QUIET PLACE-2018

Krasinski took a hiatus of 2 years, and then in 2018, co-wrote a horror movie that he not only starred in with his wife, Emily Blunt, but also directed it. ‘A Quiet Place’ was far more different than his past directorial ventures – this project was intense, and had a shift of genre that not only proved to be a huge success at the box office, but also garnered $332 million. This movie proved that not only is he an A-listed writer, but likes to play his directorial games with the same fervour as well

Krasinski hadn’t planned on quitting television, though. In 2016, he had already signed up for the Amazon series, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, which was expected to air this year, and it did. Apart from his character that is a CIA analyst in the midst of terrorism rubble, his Jack Ryan Tom Clancy’s Green Jacket also made waves amongst his adoring public.

Since winter is already upon us, it’s time to get ahold of Jack Ryan Tom Clancy’s Jacket and then hide under the covers to tune in Netflix. This season, let’s catch and binge-watch all 8 episodes of the Amazon series on Netflix before we feel left out.
